Book Review: The Sex Lives of Cannibals
So each time I finish reading a book I am going to put a little blurb about it in my side bar. Then when I finish reading another book I am going to update the side bar with the new book review and put the old book review in a post so that I have it saved somewhere. So that is what I am doing now! :-)
The Sex Lives of Cannibals, by J. Maarten Troost
I thought that this was a pretty good book actually. I was expecting it to be more of a 'laugh out loud' book then it was. The book was really funny, but he wrote in a very factual way about all the crazy things that happend to him on the island, which made it more of a 'are you freaking kidding me!?' kind of funny. It was like he was saying that at some point things just got so ridiculous that he couldnt even react anymore. There was also a lot of historical information about Kirabati and Tarawa, which was really interesting. Anyway, this book was really good, but I wouldnt bother buying it. Borrow it from me if you are interested, because while it is a great book, I cant imagine reading it more than once. Rating: 4 out of 5
