Ruined

I had a really good first day of work today.
It was really fun. I was in a really good mood.

And then it all went to shit.
And I just dont care anymore.

So we all went out to the Kennedy School tonight. The Kennedy School is an old elementary school that has been turned into a McMinimins (or however you spell it) bar, resturant, and hotel. It was probably the coolest place I have been in a long time. There was something really cool about walking around the halls of the old school. It reminded me a lot of my old middle school which was kind of weird. We ended up eating in the resturant. The food was good, my drink wasnt that great but thats ok. Next time we are going to go to the theater they have there. You can order some food and a beer and they have regular movie theater seats as well as couches. I always wanted to find a movie theater that had couches instead of seats! :-) They show movies that are out of the theaters but not on video yet. It is a pretty cool place. I really want to start going there more often now that I'm finally 21!

the other day

The other day was so wonderful.
I guess it just wasn't good enough.
The other day made me so happy I felt like jumping up and down with a big smile on my face.
Now I just feel numb.
It feels like that day was ages ago.
It feels like you forgot about the other day.
I guess it just wasn't enough.

I am so freaking bored! I think I am going to go out of my mind.

Birthday Celebration

I had a really nice birthday celebration today. I got to spend the whole day bumming around and doing nothing with my best friend. It was perfect. :-)

So I may have found a cool dress to wear to Sheila's wedding. I found it at banana republic yesterday with my mom. Yet another example of us seeing something, me thinking it is hideous, and her forcing me to try it on...just to find out it looks great. lol. It is great because I can dress it up or dress it down depending on how fancy the wedding is. I cant wait for sheila to see it so she can tell me to dress up or down. then I can start picking out accesories. on another note, I am off to go get my hair cut and dyed. thank god. it was about time for a haircut...like two months ago. well this is the end of this materialistic blurb. :-)

Good News + Bad News + Bad News

So I went to the eye doctor today.

Good News:
I have 20:20 vision

Bad News #1:

The eye drops I have been using for two years seem to cause cataracs because they have a steriod in them. So now when I get an eye infection the drops I have to use wont keep my eye from swelling up and making me look like a freak.

Bad News #2:
He wants me to go to a special tear duct surgon and get a tube inserted into my tear duct to try and fix the problem. Great. I get to have someone cutting into my freaking eye, putting a tube in, and removing it in two months...while I am awake. FUN.

No matter how bad of a mood I'm in...

CURRENTLY WATCHING:

Being home is already hard.
I want to go back to Portland already.
But what I want to go back to doesn't and won't miss me.
I'm homesick for a time and place and a spot in a persons heart that is so far way.
And I don't know how to get back to that time or place...or person.
No. That is not true.
I do know how to get back.
But the process of getting back might be too hard.
To get back I have to be hurt over and over again.
I have to let someone take the remainder of their anger and hurt and frustration out on me.
To get back I have to let someone finish rejecting me completely in order to want to come back to that place with me.
I have to be forgotten in order to be remembered.
The worst feeling in the world is being homesick for someone that doesn't miss you back.

Kind of annoying...

Ok, so I turned in one of my lab reports REALLY late. I admit it was my faul entirley. I was sick, I had a ton of other work, and it was one HELL of a lab report. It took hours and hours to write. I decided that it was so late anyway that I might as well wait until I had the time to actually sit down and write something GOOD rather than rush to try and just get it done. So...I just went down to Olin to pick it up. There were the usual Niko corrections (correcting my grammer even though mine is correct and his is wrong...whatever) and then I got to the last page where he writes the comments and the grade.

"Over all this is an excellent lab report...blah blah blah...if it weren't two months late it would have recieved an A."

I got really really annoyed. I know it was late, I know I would get points off for it but something about the way he wrote that just really pissed me off. I guess it helps if you know Niko. I know exactly what he intended it to sound like which is why I got mad. Niko can NEVER EVER just tell you that you did a good job. He always has to find a way to make you feel bad about it. I am the only person in the entire class who has ever gotten an A on a lab report. I have gotten three. And yet he still manages to find a way to make me feel like crap about it. Yeah it was late but whatever.

On another note, I am moved out of that hell hole that was my apartment!!!!
I am going to be living with clean people this year which makes me so happy! lol I'm also happy because I will be living with erich, but thats a givin. :-)

Well, I'm starving and since nobody reads this thing anyway I think it is pointless to sit here for any longer and keep writting lol. I am going to go get some food. yay!

But other than that it was an amazingly hilarious night of dancing...ask me to tell you the story because it is way too long to write here. Needless to say...tonight was awesome. I cant wait to go dancing a bunch this summer!

So yeah, I have been working on a lab report since 1pm. It is now 5pm and I am about 1/3 done. Uggghh...I need food. I am going to go to dinner, come back and work on it a little bit more, and then...

GO DANCING!

At this point I really dont give a crap about getting all my work done. I need a break. Especially after Niko ripped me to shreds on my Pchem final project report.

"I know from talking to you that you understand what's going on much better than what's conveyed by this report. You need to work on the precision of your statements in technical writting..."

Not exactly the encouragement I need right now to finish two more papers from him. They are going to suck no matter what I write because Niko decided to be obnoxious.

I will be in a better mood once I get back from dancing with Owen...if I ever get back. Maybe I will just never come back and finish my homework...god that sounds great!

Man, all I want is for it to be the summer...I want to go home and get my hair cut and eat mexican food...I want to come back to portland and spend the summer barbequeing, sunbathing, watching cartoons, and other random stuff with erich...I want to go dancing every night and not have to worry about getting homework done...
